Why start here?
We wanted our first book to give us something substantial to sit with — a book that asks us to look again at the history of Christian mission and the ways it has been shaped by empire.
Harvey Kwiyani invites readers to imagine what Christian mission could look like when it is no longer tied to colonial power, and to listen more carefully to the voices and experiences that have often been pushed to the edges of the story.
It felt like the right place to begin a book club about theology, community and the questions that shape how we understand our faith.
